FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are your carers checked?

Yes. We conduct a criminal history background check. We also conduct other enhanced pre-employment checks.

Will my family member always receive care from the same carer?

We will endeavour to ensure that your loved one is supported by a small team of carers who are carefully matched with the needs of your loved one. The advantage of having a small team is to ensure that another carer within the team can readily cover shifts during absences.

Can Anksley Care and Support help with medications?

Yes. Our carers are trained in Medication Administration as a “Delegated Task”. We ensure that medicines support is provided when this is clearly documented in the care plan, the prescriber’s directions are clear, specific and unambiguous. We often liaise with the GP and pharmacist to achieve this.

How can I verify a shift was completed?

Our carers write up detailed care notes that are kept in the client’s home, so you have a written record of the services that have been provided on each visit, as well as the time of the carer’s arrival and departure.

What are the costs of your services?

Our services are charged based on each client’s Personal Care Plan specific to their needs and budget. We’ll set up an in-home consultation to begin discussing a Personal Care Plan and the rates for each service on your plan. We always provide a written rate sheet prior to initiating services. Rates will never be increased without at least thirty days’ notice.

Factors which determine the cost are:

Number of care hours per day/week

Level or complexity of homecare services received (non-medical, specialist, personal care, etc.)
